Easy Cheesy Garlic Biscuits

I love to cook from scratch.  Using fresh ingredients just makes everything taste so much better.  I also love to know how much salt, sugar and other stuff is in the food I feed my kids.

Here is an simple recipe that will win big!

Cheesy Garlic Biscuits

1 ½ cups all purpose flour

3 tablespoons sugar

1 ½ teaspoons baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon garlic powder

²/3 cup milk

½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese

¼ cup stick butter

Preheat oven to 350°.  Mix all dry ingredients until mixed together. Add milk, cheese and butter.  Drop 10-12 spoonfuls of dough onto a greased cookie sheet.  Bake for 8-10 minutes until the tips of the biscuit turn golden brown.

Great next to soup, casseroles, or pasta.

Tip: Mix an extra batch of dry ingredients and save in a Ziploc bag to make biscuits another day.
